LIC’S Retired Development Officers’ Welfare Association ( Eastern Zone)

Formation of Retired Development Officers’ Association ( E.Z.).

Long cherished dream of our beloved Ex. Zonal Secretary Sri Sushil Kumar Chakraborty came into reality after prolonged struggle since 2001 that LIC’S Retired Development Officers’ Welfare Association (E.Z.) was formed on 08.10.2005 with the members of four allied Divisions mainly from KMD-I, KMD-II, KSD & HOWRAH in presence of our Zonal Secretary Sri Susanta Samaddar.

All the Divisional dignitaries of KMD-I, KMD-II, KSD & HOWRAH were very much present in the inaugural session of the above said association on 8th. October 2005 at 11 A.M.

Branch Secretaries of different branches along with some interested senior colleagues also participated in the said inaugural meeting. As many as 30 (Thirty) retired Development Officers were present in the opening session of the conference.

At the outset lighting of the sacred lamp as part of the opening ceremony was performed by Sri Sushil Kumar Chakraborty . Flower tribute to the portraits of Ex Leaders of National Federation such as Late S. W. Kalvit , Rabi Sen and Himangsu Chakraborty was offered by Sri Sushil Kumar Chakraborty. Sri Kamala Pati Biswas and Sri S. K. Roy respectively.

Key note address was given by Sri Sushil Kumar Chakraborty convenor of the conference and by Sri Asish Kumar Mondal , President KMD-I, NFIFWI .. Draft Constitution was placed by Sri Debasish Nath of KSD which was subsequently passed unanimously after minor corrections.

The full time Participation by Sri Surajit Podder , Sri Hafizur Rahaman and Sri Vijay Kumar Pandey took the limelight of the house.

Moreover the speech of the Chief Guest Sri Susanta Samaddar (Zonal Secretary) was an added attraction in the house
